Nicole Harter

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Nicole is a Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), licensed by the Association of Social Workers Board. Nicole has experience working with patients in adolescence through adulthood. After spending time in research in her early career, Nicole received her Masters in Social Work at Bridgewater State University in 2019. Nicole has clinical experience with mental health, addiction, college mental health, and eating disorders in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. Nicole specializes in assisting individuals struggling with addiction, ADHD, anxiety disorders, college mental health, depression, eating disorders, LGBTQ+, OCD, parenting struggles, perinatal mood disorders and mental health, social skills, relationship and family issues, stress, and trauma. Nicole has received training in
Perinatal Mood Disorders and is a member of Postpartum Support International.

Nicole uses a strengths-based and person-centered approach focused on developing a safe and collaborative therapeutic space to work on client goals. Nicole has clinical training in a variety of perspectives which she incorporates in her practice including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy for OCD, psychodynamic, and motivational interviewing. Nicole brings a warm, curious, and compassionate approach to helping clients to identify and work
towards improved mental health and personal growth.
